Babb Bath Salts are a super popular brand in Japan, which can be spotted with their iconic packaging in pharmacies all over the country. They have been produced by Kao Corporation since 1983 and are known for their bubbling effect which comes from the bicarbonate soda used in their tablet form. Babb (バブ) is also often spelt as Bab, Babu and Bub in English, making these products sometimes hard to find!
How To Use Babb Bath Salts
Babb Bath Salts are incredibly easy to use, simply fill your bathtub and add a single tablet from one of the packets. It will dissolve slowly in the bath, spreading bubbles throughout the hot water. You should wait until the tablet is fully dissolved before stepping into the tub.
When first opening a packet, the initial aroma can be quite strong but will lose this intensity when added to hot water. Most of the range of bath salts has a warming effect, though some products are specifically designed to have a cooling effect and are a great option for taking a bath in the summer months!
If unopened, the tablets can last about three years. If you have a Japanese bath with a water reheating capacity, some products are not suitable, check the Babb website for details on this.
