Job Description

AdventHealth for Children is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgeon to join our program in Orlando. This surgeon will provide pediatric cardiac surgery at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando.

Requirements:

• Board Certification or Eligibility by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery, focusing on Congenital Cardiac Surgery
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
• Ability to perform the full spectrum of pediatric cardiac surgeries, including neonatal, adult congenital, and mechanical circulatory support
• Pediatric Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation specialization with UNOS certification preferred but not required
• Team-oriented mentality and participation in multidisciplinary daily rounds

Hospital Overview:

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full-service, tertiary childrens hospital with over 200 pediatric beds, including specialized units such as a 22-bed PICU, 10-bed Cardiac ICU, and 102-bed NICU. We have a strong track record with pediatric open-heart surgeries since 2012 and offer comprehensive programs including pediatric liver transplants and other subspecialties.
