Job Description

Our client, a leading provider in the engineering sector, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Technician 

Location: Tualatin, OR

Pay Range: $22/hr. - $27/hr. 

What's the Job?

• Prepare parts sketches and write work orders and purchase requests to be furnished by outside contractors.
• Draft detail drawings or sketches for drafting room completion or to request parts fabrication by machine, sheet, or wood shops.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and test nature of technical problems such as redesign.
• Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections.
• Inspect lines and figures for clarity and return erroneous drawings to designer for correction.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a mechanical technician role.
• Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
