The General Helper is to assist the Operators and crews of machines by ensuring proper tooling and by helping on machine when needed.
The primary duties of the General Helper position include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, learning to operate a variety of production equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work-space. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery. The position requires the ability to work overtime as needed, and on weekends. Responsibilities include operating a variety of manufacturing equipment from flexo-folder/gluers, to a corrugator, to intricate die-cut machines. Must be able to follow specific directions.
Previous plant experience is helpful but not necessary. Generally requires up to one month to become fully competent on the job.
