Functional Role: Cyber Security Analyst with Networking

Location: El Monte, CA *onsite role with every other Friday off*

Salary: $140,000-160,000 DOE

Technical Skills: Pen Testing, SCADA, Firewalls, O365, SOC, CISSP

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity & Network Security Specialist with hands-on experience in penetration testing , network security assessments , and SCADA/Operational Technology environments . This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in protecting critical infrastructure while shaping and maturing the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive network security assessments and identify vulnerabilities across infrastructure.
• Oversee the security of Operational Technology (OT) systems, particularly SCADA used in water utility operations.
• Manage and secure network components including firewalls (Meraki or comparable), VPNs , and other perimeter defenses.
• Support and secure the newly implemented Microsoft 365 (O365) environment.
• Write and implement security policies , procedures, and response protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure alignment between infrastructure and security practices.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Hands-on penetration testing experience.
• Strong background in network administration and security (firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
• Experience working with SCADA systems and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security best practices.
• CISSP certification is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to write clear, effective security documentation and policies.
