Job Description
We are looking for an Administrative Specialist to join our team in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting department operations, planning events, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and organize events for employees, including booking venues, arranging catering, and scheduling team-building activities.
• Manage supply orders and purchase requests through Workday, ensuring timely procurement and tracking.
• Provide scheduling support by coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling logistics for senior administrators.
• Serve as a point of contact for inquiries, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a personable approach.
• Collaborate with other administrative staff to delegate tasks and streamline departmental processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook to handle email correspondence, manage schedules, and facilitate communication across teams.
• Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in data entry and maintain accurate records to support departmental operations.
• Support reception duties, including answering inbound calls and addressing visitor needs.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and multitask effectively to meet deadlines and departmental goals.
